Acorn and oak property unc chapel hill8/13/2023 Nothing else had been taken care of so we called ****** that morning and told her our frustrations and she said "I saw the place and it looks great" and mentioned that the only thing she could do was have the contractors come BACK put to look at everything again. However, on move in day, we walk in to only having the flooring in the bathroom replaced and the garbage disposal working. We again contact the property manager, ******, to follow up with her and she, again stated, that everything was being taken care of and should be good to go the following day. This same guy mentioned he was only being paid $85 and was told to fix certain things "because my husband was in maintenance". My husband and I stop by on that same evening, day before move in, and see that the flooring in the bathroom being replaced and a guy walking around "spot painting" irrelevant spots. When we contact the property manager, ******, we receive the email station that the inspection and contractors, just so happened, to be scheduled the following day (DAY BEFORE MOVE IN) and assured us that all items would be taken care of. Guest bathroom toilet turned off (due to an apparent leak), the flooring in that bathroom was peeling up and still went through the wood, stove not functioning properly, garbage disposal didn't work, the paint looked HORRIBLE throughout the whole place, missing electrical outlet covers, sink stoppers in master bath broken, ceiling in master bedroom splitting due to a roof leak, ect. 2 days before move in, we go to the home to check out and to our disappointment, nothing had been touched. My husband and I were approved and signed a lease for a townhome 24 hours after the approval with the expectation that everything that went wrong in the apartment was going to be addressed and taken care of at move in. As of now I would like to have the unit repair and a refund or part oak of my rent refund back to me. I have ask the property manager if they owner can do any arrangement in our $1,200 rent because of the heater and AC not working sense September and The Property Manager ********************** informs me the owner didnt agree on my request. Its been a little over 5 months sense the issue started and I report it and no one have done anything. On FebruI received an email from the property management *************************** that the owner of the unit its waiting for a final approval so the hvac unit can be fix. ![]() ![]() Inside the unit the lowest it has been is 47 degrees in which is illegal for a landlord not to take care of the matter right away. I am a father of 3 girls and we have pass the entire winter even when the temperature went down to 25 degrees with no heater at all. ![]() I have send few email in regard the problem but no one seems to care about fixing the **** unit on my apartment. The unit have no Heater/AC sense that time. I have inform the property manager *************************** about the issues sense the. ![]() Sense Septemthe unit stop working properly.
